The "opening in square
inches" refers to the fireplace or appliances over-all face opening.
EXAMPLE : In a
typical wood burning fireplace, if the hearth opening is 42" x 24" with a
13x13 clay liner (10 x 10" INSIDE MEASUREMENT) in a brick and mortar chimney we
would...
Multiply the length and width, in this case
42" x 24" = 1008 square
inches. Being less than 1200, on the wood burning chart above, follow the column to the
10"
flue size. Highlighted in
orange, the chart shows an RSHT
14 to be the proper
size chimney fan for this application. |

SCA - Steel Chimney Adapter
The ENERVEX Steel Chimney Adapter is used when installing the RS chimney
fan on the top of a single, double or triple wall steel chimney. The
adapter is designed to slide into the steel chimney for a tight fit. The
outer diameter of the collar is 1/8” smaller than the inner diameter of
the steel chimney, and has a 5” deep collar.

ASCA - Air-cooled Steel Chimney Adapter
The ENERVEX Air-Cooled Steel Chimney Adapters are used specifically when
installing a chimney fan on the top of a double-walled, air-cooled
chimney.
The adapter is designed to slide into the chimney for a tight fit. The
outer diameter of the collar is 1/8" smaller than the inner diameter of
the chimney. The 5" collar eliminates the need to secure the adapter
